The DirectKey app allows users to utilize their smartphones as hotel room keys, granting access to guest rooms, side doors, fitness centers, elevators, and other areas typically accessed with a hotel key card. Upon check-in, the hotel securely delivers a virtual key to the guest's phone via the cloud for the duration of their stay. To enter, users simply need to open the app, approach the door, and press the room button within the application.
DirectKey's hotel network continues to expand; guests can inquire at their hotel if they provide DirectKey mobile access. The system is supported by Carrier Global Corp.'s established key-credentialing platform and boasts 20 years of experience in mobile technology.
